Thanks for the great responses.

We do lay of the land and student hot spot research here at Campus Commandos through our Campus Intelligence Reports. A great point Jason about doing your research.

Get creative and use the landscape. If you are in a winter zone, try snow tagging or full-color snow stencils. I like Ben's idea of incorporating a campus landmark. Before you do any advertising on campus, do a bit of research first to understand the lay of the land and the student hot spots. Your media plan will practically write itself.

Great piece. Though as a Boomer, I have to tell you that we were definitely armed with info when we showed up at dealerships too. Our data came from the web via desk-tops instead of hand helds or it came from magazines like Consumer Reports and auto specialty mags. Just the same, your point about Xers is dead on!

Change up the medium also...sidewalk chalk or stickers/decals,
banners atop bridges or crosswalks, brand a campus landmark. This Fall Axe went out to college football tailgates with Axe branded Cornhole bags...now that is a non-traditional flyer that is going to get use for months if not years. Having campus reps dressed up as referees makes for great photo ops for social media fodder also as they were the ones handing out the bags.

Admiring the persistence you put into your website and detailed information you present. It's good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same out of date rehashed information. Wonderful read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
